An easy way to get around the between Gateshead, Quayside, Monument and Haymarket area is the Quaylink Electric Buses, these easily noticeable Bright Yellow buses operate from early in the morning to late at night.The two routes include the Q1 and Q2
The Q1 operates between the Central Station, Monument, The Sage, the Baltic and Gateshead college Baltic Campus and the Gateshead Interchange. The Q2 operates between the Haymarket, Monument, Quayside, Ouseburn, Ouseburn Valley and St Peter's Basin.

If you intend using the service more than once the cheapest way is to purchase a Quayrider where you will get unlimited travel all day on both routes for £1.60. Alternatively a single will cost £1.00 unless you are travel past St Ann's/Mariner walk on the Q2 which wil cost you £1.20, or an hourly ticket can be purchased for £1.30
