Birnam House in Alnwick is set in its own secluded mature tree lined private garden off a quiet private road but is close to all amenities including the new leisure pool and Sainsbury's. All our spacious bedrooms have views of the trees and garden together with high quality en suite shower rooms, fridge, flat screen HD Freeview multi-channel televisions, DVD player and tea & coffee facilities. With no exceptions, our guests who stayed for short breaks in 2009 regretted not booking for a longer as they felt that they hadn’t had enough time to experience all that Northumberland has to offer. In light of this, Birnam House is offering special rate packages for longer stays; 6 Days Mon pm – Sun am, 4 Days Mon pm - Fri am, 2 Days Fri pm - Sun am. We feel that your holiday should not be rushed or regimented so unique to Birnam is that each room has a sitting area where you can have a relaxed breakfast. This allows you the flexibility as to what time of the morning you eat. Breakfast is a substantial varied full continental breakfast which includes a main platter of fish or meats and comes highly recommended by all visiting guests as a much better alternative and healthier option than the traditional cooked. Birnam uses local speciality Craster kipper pate & teas by Ringtons. In season, we have beautiful homemade jams. We have lovely private garden areas where you can choose to eat breakfast - by the pond or the patio. The property has ample private car parking for guests, and internet access can be provided on request. Cancellation policy: 1 week's prior notice is required for a cancelled booking refund.
