A charming 100 yr old stone cottage nestled amidst idyllic countryside offering a touch of style and luxury and rejuvenating massage therapies to relax, unwind and restore... Centrally situated 7 miles north of Rothbury and 10 miles west of Alnwick, we are an ideal base for exploring the area. Our two light & spacious en suite rooms are simply and elegantly decorated in soft colours & natural fabrics giving a timeless country feel. Large beds are dressed with fine egyptian cotton, down & feather duvets and electric blankets in the cooler months. Well stocked trays offer every kind of tea & coffee, fresh milk & biscuits. Our bathrooms are spacious & have showers & baths for those who enjoy a hot soak by candlelight after a long day... Our sunny guest dining lounge has everything you need, books, games, TV & comfy sofas. Or you may wish to grab a blanket & enjoy our beautiful garden, relax on a bench or sit under a tree & listen to the birdsong. Breakfasts are a treat using the finest local specialities, Northumbrian sausage & bacon, Craster kippers, free range eggs & homemade bread plus plenty of porridge, fruits, yoghurt and veggie options. If you plan to spend your days exploring you may want a simple packed lunch @ £5 per head. We don't do supper, but you're most welcome to bring in your own picnic supper and use the dining lounge. Or a short 15 - 20 min drive will take you to good food. PLEASE NOTE: We ask you to stay for a minimum of 2 nights. Due to other commitments, Saturday/Sunday check in not normally available. Therefore weekend stays commence on Fridays, or earlier. Please be sure to enter Friday's date when checking weekend availability online! Check our website for current prices!
